Sanlien Technology Corp. and OSMOS, a subsidiary company of EREN Group, have jointly announced the acquisition of SIAP+MICROS S.r.l., an Italian leading brand in weather, hydrology, and environmental monitoring instruments.
The acquisition was completed by SIAP+MICRO Holding S.r.l., a holding company founded by Sanlien and OSMOS. To demonstrate complete confidence in SIAP+MICROS’ operating strategy and business continuity, Sanlien and OSMOS decided to maintain the current organization and management team. Therefore, the current chairman, Mr. Renato Maguolo, and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alex Stevanin, will remain in their management positions.
Established in 2003 from the merger of SIAP Bologna (1925) and Micros (1976), two leading companies in the environmental monitoring system market, SIAP+MICROS S.r.l. has installed its equipment worldwide, renowned for its proven quality and reliability. SIAP+MICROS integrates the technology and know-how of both companies, ensuring its highest quality as a “made in Italy” product.
Since 2003, the majority of SIAP+MICROS has been owned by the late Mr. Piergiorgio Vigliani and his family, including Mr. Giovanni Garnero and Mr. Carolo Zumaglini. Under the leadership of Mr. Maguolo and Alex Stevanin, SIAP+MICRO has consolidated its expertise and accelerated its business development both locally and internationally. The company provides innovative and comprehensive solutions to both local and international partners.
The partnership between SIAP+MICROS, OSMOS, and Sanlien Technology enables the provision of comprehensive monitoring solutions to customers. Climate change and weather conditions impact not only our daily lives but also the economy and infrastructure. Aging infrastructure is extremely vulnerable due to extreme climate changes and weather, making high-quality monitoring essential for long-term operation and safety.
“In the future, the world will be integrated! After entering the first year of its second fifty years, Sanlien Technology, guided by the mission to ‘assist humans in understanding their living/work environment,’ successfully acquired 100% ownership of SIAP+Micros together with Osmos Group on September 13, 2018,” said Jim Lin, Chairman of Sanlien Technology. “This marks a significant milestone in our development. SIAP + Micros S.r.l. is a leader in the fields of meteorological, hydrological, and environmental monitoring in Italy. OSMOS is a recognized expert in the field of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and a subsidiary of the French EREN Group. Sanlien Technology specializes in safety monitoring, automation systems, and integration. The partnership between SIAP + Micros, OSMOS, and Sanlien Technology represents a unique combination of differentiated expertise and service offerings. It will provide a broader and complementary integrated monitoring solution for the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
Sanlien Technology and OSMOS have initiated a global initiative to monitor various essential infrastructures and have become major players in providing integrated monitoring solutions. The acquisition of SIAP+MICRO is a crucial milestone as it provides OSMOS and Sanlien with expertise in meteorological, hydrological, and environmental monitoring.
